Ten Thousand Villages store comes to Picton
St. Andrew's Presbyterian church is bringing a Ten Thousand Villages franchise to Picton's main street. Ten Thousand Villages is a retail outlet founded by the Mennonite Central Committee in the 50's to provide a venue for artisans to sell their products and receive a fair price.
The store at 217 Main St. will open at the end of November for 2 weeks to host a Festival Sale. The official opening will take place in April. When we provide artisans with a fair wage for their work we ensure that they can provide schooling and health care for their families. For more information call Lynne at 613-476-1167.
